May The Lord’s Hand Be With You!

S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: Luke 1:66 Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s hand was with him. O-bservation: This verse is speaking of Jesus’ cousin, John the Baptist. At his birth, so many unusual signs from heaven appeared that people knew the Lord’s hand was with him. Let’s start by saying that he was the only child born to his elderly parents. That in itself was miraculous. This led people to question what this anointed little boy would become. A-pplication: Here we are at the dawn of another...

In AWE of God’s Blessings to His Church

I am in AWE of God’s blessings to His church. He provides in so many ways both big and small, but most importantly, we, as a church family, are blessed together in Christ Jesus. When we come together as a church and follow the mandates of God, He blesses us because of our faithfulness, and we are blessed with fruitfulness and fullness. O-bservation: This is an interesting verse because this event took place in Genesis 48 before Jacob blessed all of his sons in Genesis 49. It happened because Joseph wanted a special blessing to fall upon his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. So he took his boys to his father, and Jacob blessed them each and afterward called all of his sons together. A-pplication: Jacob was a man who had lived a...

A Blessing And Not A Burden

S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: 2 Corinthians 12:14 Now I am ready to visit you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you. After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children. O-bservation: St. Paul wrote to the young church at Corinth to say that he was coming to visit them a third time. He wanted them to know that he would not be a burden to them financially because he didn’t want what they had;...

The Power Of A BLESSING

S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: Genesis 49:1 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: “Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come. O-bservation: Just before he died, Jacob, the father of the twelve sons who would become the twelve tribes of Israel, gathered them together. The purpose of the gathering was for Jacob to pronounce a blessing upon each of his sons that would solidify the power and direction each tribe would take. Surely “The Power Of A BLESSING” is most notable in these twelve sons who continue until this...
