Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.
King David was a champion for the poor and disenfranchised. This chapter reveals David’s true heart when it came to mistreating and using the POOR for one’s own self interest. The King called such people “Evildoers,” and reminded them that God is a refuge for ALL who are “Down and Out!”
“If You’re Poor … You Really Need To Read This!” You will always have a home, even when you have no home, with Jesus. You will always have supply, when your supply has run dry, with Jesus. When you feel BROKEN, you can always be MENDED, by Jesus. Because of JESUS, the Bible says, “Let the weak say I am strong” (Joel 3:10b)! So in a sense, you could determine that those who may be financially poor but who “Follow Jesus” are RICH in so many ways. Most of all, we are rich in the fact that Jesus is … and Jesus gives … everything we are NOT and don’t HAVE! If for some reason you ARE poor, or FEEL poor, YOU can run to JESUS, because JESUS is OUR refuge!!
Before I knew You, enough was never enough. I felt poor standing next to friends who had far less than me. Once You found me, I learned that You are MORE than enough! I’m thankful that I was Poor and I Listened. Amen
So thankful for your daily devotionals!blessings, Brigitte
