S. O. A. P.
Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
S-cripture:
Joshua 13:1
When Joshua had grown old, the Lord said to him, “You are now very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over.”
O-bservation:
Joshua was nearing the end of his life’s road. One day, the Lord reminded him that there were still large territories that had not been overtaken and occupied.
A-pplication:
Here’s the truth, no matter how successful you are or how many battles you have won or how massive your influence has grown … “You’ll Never Do It All.” The very fact that none of us will conquer everything should give us the impetus to raise up young men and women to carry-on after we’re gone. The whole idea of “LEGACY” is leaving something behind that others can build on. The people who believe they just have to do more because they’re the only ones who can actually make it happen are fooling themselves. After Elijah told God that he was the only one left to serve the Lord, God said to Elijah, “I have 7,000 folks who have not bowed a knee to Baal (1Kings 19:18). Decide today to do everything you can to leave a “LEGACY,” because … “You’ll Never Do It All.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Today I ask that everyone who reads this would be alerted to the fact that “No One Can Do It All.” So help each one of us today to leave something others can build on. Amen
