S-cripture:

Proverbs 14:23

All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

O-bservation:

Solomon the wise man made a declaration from experience. Those who work hard will find a profit in their work. Those who talk big end up in poverty.

A-pplication:

I have learned that all of life comes down to “Working Or Talking.” I’m not saying you can’t do both, because obviously communication is needed to make our labor profitable. However, those who Talk more than they Work are seldom taken seriously. In order to win in life, everyone must get serious in time and be taken seriously in order for a degree to be earned, a sale to be made, or a surgery to be successful. All Talk and Little Work forces a person to the poverty line. It comes down to deciding for all of us, each day, is it going to be “Working Or Talking?”

Dear Jesus,

This AM I’m reminded once again that it’s on me to Work more and Talk less. Help me today, I pray, to Work! Amen
