S-cripture:

Romans 12:10

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

O-bservation:

These words by the Apostle Paul represent the heart of Christianity. He said, “Every believer must be devoted to everyone in love. Also, here it is, “honor everyone above yourself.”

A-pplication:

Honor is a lost virtue in many societies. Here in my country we have stooped to the lowest levels of bad speech and criticism of other people. And even when a friend wins we have a tendency to offer a cutting remark in so called “Humor” before actually commending or congratulating the friend. If that’s what is done to a friend, then enemy BEWARE! This is not the way of a true “Jesus Follower.” Real love has no challenge with the virtue of honor. In fact, Real Love embraces Honor. If we are to follow the Apostle’s directive, we must “Stop With The Put Downs!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I want to start my AM with help from You today. May my life and actions today honor You most of all, as I honor everyone You bring across my path. Amen
