Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Romans 10:13

For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

O-bservation:

St. Paul presented the ultimate test for salvation as being a simple call of need and duress by anyone, at any hour, and they will be saved.

A-pplication:

Many “Jesus Followers” still ask, “What does it take for a person to have assurance of salvation?” Oh, I know that after following Jesus for some time we have a tendency to add lists of things to do in order to please God. And of course if we don’t please the Lord hell awaits. BUT … here Paul the Apostle gives us the truth which has given people peace for over 2,000 years! Just CALL on the name of the Lord and Salvation is ours. No “to do” lists! No “if you don’t you’re dead” lists. No “I saw what you did last night” lists! Nope, just “Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved.” I call it, “The SAVING Call.”

Dear Jesus,

How thankful I am this AM that a simple call on Your name still saves! I’m always calling! Amen
