I Won’t Let Go

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

O-bservation:

The writer of the book of Hebrews encourages all believers to forsake any other enticing offers in life and, with unashamed abandonment to Jesus, “Dig In!” Because in the final analysis God has given us an eternal promise and He will be faithful to keep His promise.

A-pplication:

This passage is especially true of believers who live in relatively safe places, where freedom is a lifestyle and money is available. This group is especially targeted in this “Last Generation” of time to yield to any temptation that might be offered. Certainly the writer was writing to people in his lifetime, but it certainly speaks to this writer’s heart as I see what’s going on around me. The directive in this passage is to “Hold Fast.” In other words, don’t let anything cause you to let go of your faith and what you profess to be. We who are “Followers of Jesus” signed up because we believe “He is the way, the TRUTH and the life (John 14:6). He promised us at the beginning of this journey that He would see us through this life and the life that is yet to come. If you’re like me, you believe that Jesus will be faithful to keep His promise. Because of this fact … “I Won’t Let Go!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt this AM that You are a “Promise Keeper.” Because of this I can’t … and … “I Won’t Let Go Of You!” Amen

One promise that comes often to my mind is that Jesus has gone to prepare me a place in His kingdom I know, with not a shadow of doubt, that that place is far better than here, where I tend to become comfortable.
