What’s The Purpose?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Colossians 1:10

So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.

St. Paul, “The Great Apostle,” was like a father who was always about his children winning in every way. He told the young church at Colossae that his main reason for praying daily for them was so they could have a continual sense of being in God’s will. Not only that, but so they could bear good spiritual fruit and grow daily in their relationship with Jesus.

Those who watch over you in a spiritual way have a real purpose to what they do. And this is in response to everyone who ever asks the question, “What’s The Purpose” of spiritual leadership? Here, in a nutshell, is the purpose of spiritual leadership. #1 – Spiritual Leaders care that you and I live a life that is honoring of the Lord and pleasing to God in every way. #2 – Spiritual Leaders care that we are continual reproducing the life of Jesus in others. This is the heart of Jesus that we make disciples (Matthew 28). #3- Spiritual Leaders care that we are continually growing in our relationship with Jesus. If you’ve ever asked … “What’s The Purpose?” … Now you know.

Dear Jesus,

I thank You today for those who help lead me spiritually. I want to please You. I want to make disciples, and I want to keep growing spiritually. Amen
