S-cripture:

Hebrews 3:13

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

O-bservation:

This is a great word from the writer of Hebrews that Christians the world over should encourage one another daily! In fact, the writer says as long as it’s called “TODAY” or as long as life lasts for anyone who is a believer, do everything possible to encourage other believers in the faith. Why? Because sin and temptation are everywhere, and no human is an island. We need each other.

A-pplication:

This is the answer for anyone who has ever wondered, “What Should I Do TODAY?” If you’ve ever wondered that as a Christian, the simple answer is to be an ENCOURAGER. Don’t wonder for another day. People who love the Lord are daily facing temptation that leaves them on life’s edge. The temptation to yield and give in to sin is a constant factor in every believer’s daily challenge. So who knows when an encouraging word keeps that friend from falling off the edge? Encouragement is real and heartfelt, and when offered in love, it is the very thing that builds our faith. The right word at the right time is always a bright spot in an otherwise dark day. So never wonder again, “What Should I Do TODAY?” We already know that as long as it is called “Today” ENCOURAGE SOMEBODY!!

Dear Jesus,

I’ve got my marching orders. I’m heading out this AM to ENCOURAGE SOMEBODY. I need Your help again today. Amen
