A Wall Of Fire

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Zechariah 2:5

“And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,” declares the Lord, “and I will be its glory within.”

O-bservation:

Earlier, the Lord said Jerusalem will be a city “Without Walls” so it can hold the numbers of people and animals that will begin to overflow the city. Now, in this passage, The Lord promises to be a “Wall Of Fire” around the city to protect Jerusalem from its adversaries.

A-pplication:

“No Walls” represents such a blessing from God as walls would literally impede the blessing of heaven on Jerusalem. Instead of man-made walls, God offered Himself as a “Wall Of Fire” surrounding Jerusalem in order to protect the City of God. Why not insert your own name in the place of Jerusalem today. Why not come to a place in your life where you are willing to say … “Lord I yield myself entirely to Your care and concern for me. More than anything I want to trust You as my own personal ‘Wall Of Fire’ surrounding me and protecting me from those who would love to destroy the grace you have wrought in my life.” I believe that when you and I make such a commitment to Jesus, His glory will truly radiate within us.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Today I declare that You are my “Wall Of Fire.” I know that You can take better care of me than I can myself. Thank You. Amen
