Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 130:5
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.
O-bservation:
Whatever King David was faced with, he made a mindful and willful decision to put a hold on personal action until The Lord gave him clear direction as to what to do. In the King’s estimation, his only HOPE was in hearing a WORD from Almighty God.
A-pplication:
How many times have your plans been foiled by your own HASTE? The times are too many for me to count when I’ve gotten ahead of the Lord’s will. HASTE, I’m sure, is one of the “Enemy of Our Soul’s” greatest tools of confusion and disappointment in the life of “A Believer.” The word for today is … “Stop with the HASTE!” In order to have the courage to refuse this temptation, one must have a complete “Dependence and Belief” that God will deliver the ANSWER at the exact time. Not our time but HIS exact time will make it all work for our good. There’s nothing else to do but … “Wait For It!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m reminded again this AM that “HASTE” is often my biggest enemy! Today I choose with King David to WAIT with my whole being for Your WORD to come. Your WORD is my HOPE! Amen
