Trust God’s Memory

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Hebrews 6:10

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

O-bservation:

The writer is straight out saying God is not unjust. He sees all the good you have done, and He knows that you love Him because you help those who need help … and He won’t forget you.

A-pplication:

First of all, I want to make it very clear that we have all sinned and come short of God’s expectations. However, many of us love the Lord and out of our love for Him we serve His people. Who are Gods people? Every person on the planet is part of “God’s People.” So when we touch people to help them, we are in effect touching the heart of God. I hate to put it this way but … God is keeping score! He knows you. He knows your desire to help. When some could have but didn’t … You Did! Don’t get down on yourself today. God’s memory is intact. He’s logged all your good deeds, and before you start listening to all the inner voices from the other side, just stop and … “Trust God’s Memory.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I must admit this AM, I do have a tendency to get down on myself and remember all the bad stuff I’ve done. But not today. Today, I’m going to trust Your memory. Thanks. Amen
