Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
We, as “Followers of Jesus,” are encouraged to hold without hesitation or waffling when it comes to all that we have been led to believe. After ALL, it was Jesus who promised it ALL to begin with.
I guess the question always comes down to who are you going to trust? It was King David who said, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God” (Ps. 20:7, KJV). In other words, there are options on who and what you can trust in. For instance, you can trust in drones or Patriot missiles. You can trust in cash, investments, and precious jewels. You can trust in people, position, and power. But in the final analysis, we have all seen all of those options fail people over and over again. Even though we have ample data to prove failure, people continue to seek those options. On the other hand, there is One who has never failed us. Jesus! And really … “Jesus Is All We’ve Got.”
Today I lay aside all other options of hope. I will hold on only to the promises You have made me without hesitation! Amen
