Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Joshua 13:1

When Joshua had grown old, the Lord said to him, “You are now very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over.

O-bservation:

At the end of Joshua’s life the Lord said, “You’re old and there’s still WORK to be done!”

A-pplication:

In Genesis it was God’s plan for Adam to steward His creation. In other words, from the very beginning God’s plan has been for man to WORK. It’s in our WORK that we are able to do our greatest WORSHIP unto the Lord. When Adam got his eyes off of the Lord, his WORK became drudgery. But it doesn’t have to be that way. 2 Timothy 2:12a says of we “Followers of Jesus” that “If we endure, we will also reign with him.” And of course that also means WORK. Here Joshua was at the end of his life and he had done an amazing job of leading Israel, but God’s word to him was, “You’re old and there’s still so much land to take!” God’s word to Joshua is His word to us today, “There Will Always Be WORK!” It’s God’s plan for humans.
