Sprit Led, Armed To Fight

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Luke 4:1

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness

O-bservation:

Following His baptism, and at the outset of His public ministry, Jesus was first led into the wilderness. The Holy Spirit led him there, and He was also full of the Holy Spirit at the time. The wilderness is where Jesus faced 40 days of temptation by Satan himself.

A-pplication:

It’s important to note that we won’t always be led by “Still Waters.” Sometimes the Spirit of God leads us into tumultuous situations. On several occasions in my life I wanted to rebuke the forces of hell, but I later found out that the Spirit of the Lord had led me into a tough situation. What I also learned was that I was spiritually “armed to fight” that situation. Scripture says, “The steps of a good man or woman are ordered of the Lord” (Psalm 37:23). Perhaps you’re in a tough spot right now. Instead of blaming it on the devil, thank God for leading you into a challenge that He knows you’re prepared for. As you conquer this battle, your faith will elevate to a higher place of trust in God. Jesus won over the temptation in the wilderness. You too, are ready to win because you are … “Spirit Led, Armed to Fight!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I want to thank You for trusting me with this battle I am presently waging. I know You have led me and armed me to win. Amen
