The Song of Moses for All Time

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Revelation 15:3

And sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations.”

O-bservation:

In his vision of heaven, John saw a group of angels singing the song of Moses together. Moses wrote this song at the end of his life, circa 1271 BC. David recorded some of the song in the Psalms, circa late 900s BC. And John hears the song sung in a futuristic vision, circa 95 AD. The song affirms the power and greatness of Almighty God, as well as His just ways for all nations.

A-pplication:

In the aforementioned observation, it’s clear to see that the song of Moses had been sung for almost 1,400 years before John recorded the words in this verse. Almost 2,000 years have passed since this passage was recorded, and as of this writing we have not reached the time of “TRIBULATION” mentioned in the Revelation of John. It’s safe to say that millions of songs have been written throughout the course of history. Most of them have never been heard by anyone save the author of the song. Others have been popularized in “Their Time” in history. But when a song speaks of the greatness of our God and how faithful and fair He is, it may have a chance of being sung in every generation. Our verse today records such a tune … “The Song of Moses for All Time.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I am thankful this AM to be singing the same “Song of Moses” that millions of believers have been singing for thousands of years. You are faithful and just and true forever! Amen
