The Accuser

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Revelation 12:10

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.”

O-bservation:

The Apostle John, during his vision of the “End Time,” saw the devil and his angels cast down out of heaven to the earth. John called him “The Accuser” of the brothers and sisters. He said he had been accusing them day and night up until that point in time. Because of this sudden overthrow from heaven, Jesus’ authority is totally secured and heaven reigns.

A-pplication:

Satan was originally known as the musical director of heaven. That’s right, his name was Lucifer. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 14 that at one point Lucifer determined he would take God’s place. The Lord immediately expelled him from heaven. Actually, his position and influence were thrown out. He has remained at the throne of God since that time, “ACCUSING” you and me of every sin and misstep we’ve ever committed. Thankfully, we have an ADVOCATE—Jesus! Jesus answers every accusation the devil throws out about you and me. One day, “The Accuser” himself will be thrown out of heaven. He has a number of names, but the one that fits him best is … “The Accuser.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I thank You that You defeated “The Accuser” at the cross over 2,000 years ago. He can accuse me, but I know You’re not buying it. Amen
