Remember Our God Is Holy

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Leviticus 22:32

“Do not profane my holy name, for I must be acknowledged as holy by the Israelites. I am the Lord, who made you holy.”

These are the words of our Lord, through the prophet Moses, for all the priests of Israel in that day and all the pastors and spiritual leaders of today. He told those who lead His people to remember that we are to be holy unto Him and that we should never use his name in a profane way. We are to “Remember Our God Is Holy.”

As a spiritual leader, this passage really speaks to me. I have always felt that one of the reasons I have a job and why people come to the church I pastor is because they want someone who will call them up higher. By that, I mean people want a leader who will show them to the Father and who will lead them in a holy way into His presence. Most of us know we need to get into physical shape, and we need to read more to improve our minds, but we also know we need to stay spiritually healthy as well. That is done by the study of God’s Word and by daily prayer, but it’s also accomplished through following men and women who lead the way. That is why it’s so important for all spiritual leaders to “Remember Our God Is Holy.”

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I am reminded that I can certainly enter Your throne room with boldness, but I also know I must never enter Your throne room in prayer haphazardly. I know that You are a HOLY GOD. Amen
