Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 120:7
I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
O-bservation:
The Lord called King David a man after His own heart. We know Scripture tells us that “God Is Love.” Obviously God is against war. And obviously David, being of the same heart, was not driven to war either. But here King David lamented that the more he spoke of peace with other countries, the more their leaders spoke of war.
A-pplication:
When a man or woman is wholeheartedly committed to the Lord, a “Sense of PEACE” sets in. The idea of fighting becomes a thing of the past. The challenge then comes from others who refuse to embrace Jesus. They perceive something in the life of the Believer that they think they want. Instead of following the Lord and finding the same peace, the spirit of war rises up within them to take what we have. However, any material gain we may have accrued is a result of the “Inner Peace” we have found in Jesus. When men and women refuse to … “Pursue Peace,” and instead “Promote War,” they become all the more frustrated. Until one is willing to acknowledge a need for inner peace through Jesus, he or she will continue to “Pursue WAR.” Whatever “THEY DO,” we must … “Pursue Peace.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Today I will, with Your help … “Pursue Peace!” War is too expensive! Amen
