S-cripture:

Psalm 119:9

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.

O-bservation:

The most powerful king who ever lived (in my opinion) asks a question he then answers. He challenges us to answer the question, “How can a young person stay on The Path Of Purity.” He answers it by saying, “It’s by living according to the Word of God.”

A-pplication:

Let’s start by saying that staying on “The Path Of Purity” is no longer a driving force for young people today. Unless one’s challenge is a result of living according to the Word of God, there’s no chance they can potentially stay on “The Path Of Purity!” Only a firm foundation of the Word of God can set a standard that makes “The Path Of Purity” the goal. Today’s goals are usually about money and what money can buy. In fact, the god of money is what Jesus warned about. He said you can’t serve God and money. When He made that statement, He established that money would be the other potential god in people’s lives. Consequently, David said regardless of how you were raised, determine in your heart today to live according to God’s Word. That’s the only way to “The Path Of Purity.”

Dear Jesus,

I’m committed to You. I’m also committed to Your Word! I know that’s the only way to “The Path Of Purity!” Amen
