S-cripture:

Revelation 1:10a

On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit.

O-bservation:

John the Beloved said he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day. For New Testament believers, this had to have meant Sunday. Unlike their Jewish, Old Testament counterparts, they did not worship on Saturday, the Sabbath. Instead, they celebrated their faith on the first day of the week. That day, of course, is Sunday. John had so detached himself from the necessities and cares of this life that he detached himself from human concerns and focused on his Lord. When he did, he had a vision from God that is referred to as The Revelation.

A-pplication:

If we could but make the Lord’s day His day indeed, I’m convinced that unusual occurrences would happen to us regularly. When God is given full attention on His day, He is ready to make things happen for His people. On August 9 of this year, I had spent the entire day praying for the church. I had been in contact with many people that day to pray and believe with them for miracles as I do during this most strange year of all my years on earth. It was 11:30 pm, and I could not sleep. Then it happened, the Lord gave me a full-on prophetic novel, which I finished last Sunday. It’s 412 pages of epic proportion. I don’t know how it will be used in the future, but it has captured my heart and attention. It happened on the Lord’s day. I challenge you today to “Make Sundays Count!”

Dear Jesus,

Today is the Lord’s day, Your day! I’m here, Jesus, and with all of my heart, I want to be in the Spirit on Your day. I need to hear from You. I’m ready for a revelation. Amen
