Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 8:19

When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?

O-bservation:

The Prophet Isaiah wanted all people of God to stay away from the “Dark Side.” Mediums and spiritists (ie: tarot card readers, palm readers, horoscopes, séances, ect.) all have to do with the “Dark Side” and death. Isaiah said, “Why would anyone try to consult the dead concerning the living?

A-pplication:

It’s important to establish this fact. ONLY GOD IS OMNISCIENT. Only God knows all things knowable. So the question is, why would anyone go towards the “Dark Side” of death and evil to get information about right now and the future? Why would anyone consult the devil, but not believe in God? The truth is, God is there and He is not silent. David said, “You make known to me the path of life” (Ps. 16:11). He also said, “In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him into His ears” (Ps. 18:6). Here we have the eternal God of the Universe as our “Life Coach,” available any hour of the day, and yet there are people going to see some gal named “Kitty Lou” with dirty fingernails looking at “Tea Leaves” to tell them their future! “C’mon Man!” Our God made light because He is the light of the world. I’m sticking with the LIGHT… “No Dark Side For Me.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m thankful this AM that You are the light of the world. And because of that, I never have to go to the “Dark Side” for information. I love the light and I love You! Amen
