Never Forget

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Numbers 14:2

All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!”

O-bservation:

Israel had gotten out of Egypt by the powerful hand of Almighty God. Now as the Lord was preparing to take them into their “Promised Land,” there was a negative report brought back by ten of the Israeli spies. They suggested that the land would be impossible to conquer. The people immediately complained about how they wished they were still in Egypt.

A-pplication:

The Israelites had lived as SLAVES in Egypt for over 400 years. The Egyptians had been cruel masters. The miracle of their Exodus out of Egypt has been documented for all of history. God’s miracle is included in every narrative. Now, ready to inhabit their “Promised Land,” a negative report sends them reeling. They complained so hard that their memory of Egypt was actually a sweet one. They wanted to go back to the slave pits. Why? They didn’t trust the unseen God who had delivered them. It’s imperative that every “Follower Of Jesus” keeps a strict regimen of brain exercises. Why? Because if we’re not careful we soon forget the power of our great God. We forget the pain, the loneliness, the grief, the sickness, the loss, the lack that He has delivered us from. Whenever an unexpected trial shows itself, just STOP!! And … “Never Forget!” He’s done it before, and He’ll do it again.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’ll never forget what you’ve done for me. Jesus I’ll never forget. No Never! Amen

Whenever I drif away from my devotion to the Lord , He gently pulls me closer with a favot or a graceful help in diffuculties. Then I remember how good He has been to me! I will not forget His kindness!
