S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Numbers 18:7b
I am giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift.
O-bservation:
These were the words of The Almighty, delivered directly to Aaron, the high priest of Israel. The Lord identified two things that appear lost in some circles as it relates to the Christian Faith. First of all, the Lord said that the ministry of a priest is that of “SERVICE.” Second, He said this ministry I’m giving you is a “GIFT.”
A-pplication:
Service is something many people scorn. Yet the act of serving one another was at the very heart of Jesus. Jesus himself said, “I didn’t come to be served but to serve.” We really do give ourselves away to others while in the act of Christian service. It must further be stated that the opportunity to serve is granted to we “Believers” as a GIFT from our wonderful Lord. To be able to serve our fellow man should be treated with the same joy a child expresses when opening his most treasured gift on Christmas morning. As the Pastor of a wonderful group of people here in Miami, Florida, I often hear young adults as well as seniors who say, “Pastor it is my Honor to serve the Lord’s people.” As Believers, we move forward with a “Get To” attitude in place a “Have To” attitude. Because after all, it is the Lord who has given us … “The Gift Of Service.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I am nearly brought to tears with the thought that You gave me the GIFT of Serving Your people. I am forever grateful, and I will always remain ready to serve You in any way You call me. Amen

This message does reflect on my heart because now I struggle with how I can serve people that are in need. I know that shouldn’t be a problem but it just doesn’t seem like I can get started doing what God has called me to do. I really need to be in a connect group but working 5 days a week 24 hours a day, I’m praying that I will receive a breakthrough.
