Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Exodus 40:33b
And so Moses finished the work.
O-bservation:
This is the story of Moses, arguably the greatest Leader of all time, finishing the work of building the mobile Tabernacle of the Lord in the wilderness.
A-pplication:
The question most people face is “How am I going to finish what I started?” Life is made up of many tremendous starts. The famous legends of history are men and women who finished the jobs they began. The Apostle Paul said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race!” (2 Tim. 4:7). Moses was asked by the Lord to build a mobile Tabernacle in the wilderness. He laid out a plan, worked his plan, and FINISHED the building. Many of the people who come to speak with me each week are faced with some kind of challenge they need to be coached through. Often it’s a situation that they started and can’t finish. Many marriages are like that, they begin with joy and hopes and dreams and romance, only to crash and burn in a courtroom. With all of their dreams and hopes, they still couldn’t finish. The missing ingredient to many unfinished projects is a lack of input from the Almighty. Jeremiah recorded the words of the Lord in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto me and I will answer thee!” People are usually willing to call their banker, counselor, architect, doctor, or lawyer, but they are not often willing to “CALL” on the name of the Lord. God is the reliable one to call upon in your time of need. He is the one who will help you to … “Make Sure You Finish!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I will not start my day without first calling on You. Lord I have a few unfinished projects right now, and I know with Your help I’ll be able to finish them! Amen
