Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Proverbs 28:13
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
O-bservation:
When you “Cover Up” your sin, the ability to prosper diminishes. However, when you and I are Honest about our Dishonesty and repent of our sin, not only does prosperity return but mercy becomes our continual companion.
A-pplication:
It’s easy to become complacent concerning our own failures and weaknesses. We can begin to approach sin with a nonchalant attitude as if to say … “It’s no big deal, who am I really hurting anyway?” But so often when that approach is taken the BIG “Cover-Up” sets in as well. So in a personal way we lie to ourselves, but deep down we know it’s wrong, thus the “Cover-Up.” The “Cover-Up” always seems to be an easy fix to an immediate mountain of inner turmoil. But the truth is, the easy fix is to deal with it now by way of confession and repentance. All confession and repentance does is set us free and hurt our pride. But isn’t pride what got us in trouble to begin with? I for one am always ready to say “Good Riddance” to pride and sin. I’m always ready to prosper, and I know “The Key To Prosperity” is a clean heart before God and man.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Today I am encouraged to move toward my destiny. Because You have set me free from the BIG “Cover-Up,” I’m prospering and I’m traveling with Mercy as my continual companion. Amen
