Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
S-cripture:
Revelation 22:17
The Spirit and the bride say “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
O-bservation:
Once again, from the Revelation he is experiencing, John comes to the final scenes of the drama he’s been a “One-Man Audience” for. And he sees and hears Jesus saying, “COME!” If you’re thirsty “COME!” If you need something for Free, I’m offering Eternal Life … “Free of Charge!” Just “COME!”
A-pplication:
There are 66 books that make up the Bible. There are 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. From Genesis to Revelation God gives us a STORY filled with plots and subplots, villains and heroes, victories and defeats. But as hard as it may be for some to believe … Jesus is in every story and on every page and in God’s every thought. The STORY has to do with the “Mission of God,” which is to redeem the entire planet of people to himself through Jesus His Son, and to “BLESS” every human as well. The entire STORY is about Jesus saying, “Come to Me … I have what you need … I have the Eternal Life you’ve been looking for … I’ll take your guilt and give you My forgiveness and power.” In other words … “Just COME to Jesus.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
The thing I love so much about Your offer is that it’s not only about Salvation, but after Salvation it’s about continuing to come to You to meet my every need, every day. Thank You that I can. And Thank You that You do. Amen
