Just Admit It

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Samuel 12:13

Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.

O-bservation:

David had committed an act of adultery with Bathsheba and that was just the beginning. When Nathan the prophet went to his house and confronted him David ADMITTED IT.

A-pplication:

In my life, there’s been nothing worse than living with a load of guilt. You can get out of bed, get dressed, fix yourself up, get breakfast, kiss your spouse, and go to work, but it doesn’t feel good. Over time it just grows worse and worse. Eventually the best thing to do instead of operating as though everything is “COOL” is … “Just Admit It.” Oh it’s going to be tough. You’ll have to give an account. Depending on the level of offense, it will take time to repair the hurts caused from the wrongdoing. But in time things will mend. Yes, there will be remaining scars, but it will be over. We can keep hiding it, but like I said some time ago in an earlier post, “You Can’t Paint Rust.” Hiding sin eventually rusts or rots through. Why not “Just Admit It” today.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for a clear conscience this AM. It’s not always been that way. When I fail help me always to “Just Admit It.” Amen
