Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 20:5
May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.
O-bservation:
These are the words of King David. It was his intent to encourage his people, and us, to always exalt in one another’s victories.
A-pplication:
There’s often a bit of jealousy in many of us when a friend or family member succeeds in a unique endeavor. Why is that? It’s hard to say, it’s just that I know it happens to me and I’ve talked to friends through the years who have battled the same jealousy. Somehow when someone else wins we feel a personal loss. That’s not what David admonishes us to feel, or respond with. No! Instead it was the King’s desire that when our brother or sister wins, we have only one response … “Always ENCOURAGE!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I ask that You would relieve me of all jealousy and help me to “Always ENCOURAGE!” Amen
