JESUS Knows What To Do

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

John 6:6

He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.

O-bservation:

Jesus had been teaching for quite a while, the crowds were huge, and it was lunchtime. He asked Philip where they could buy bread to feed everyone. There were probably in the neighborhood of 15,000 folks assembled. But the writer says that Jesus was only testing Philip and the other disciples. He already knew what He was going to do.

A-pplication:

In my own life, I often find some of the simplest matters perplexing at the end of the day. Whether simple or complex, all of us at times struggle for the right answer or the right decision. The case in point was impossible. Jesus was asking, “How can we feed these people?” But it was a test. And the disciples failed the test because they were answering an impossible situation on their own human terms. Their answer: “We Can’t!” Always remember, the questions that Jesus asks us are usually a trust test. Who do you and I really trust? If we get it off of us and back on to Jesus, a miracle will happen. Because … “Jesus Knows What To Do.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Once again this AM, I’m going to take the trust off of me and put my trust on to You. I know that my “JESUS Knows What To Do.” Amen
