It’s YOUR Time

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

John 2:4

“Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. ”My hour has not yet come.”

O-bservation:

The wedding at Cana was to be JESUS’ “Coming Out Party.” In other words, when His mother Mary said to Jesus, “they have run out of wine,” that was His cue to work a miracle. Jesus is God, so He knew what He would do. However, He utters the line that most of us have thought before. He says … “My hour (or My time) has not yet come.”

A-pplication:

When Mary said to Jesus’ disciples, “Do whatever He says,” she was also saying, “Son, it’s Your time.” As a younger man I often thought, “When will I know it’s my time to launch?” Perhaps you can remember a time when you were burdened with a “Failure To Launch,” scenario. In fact, could it be that you’re struggling with that right now? I’m not Jesus’ mother, but I feel very strongly this AM that I should say to you, “It’s YOUR Time.” Eventually you have to commence. You have to launch. Your dreams have an expiration date. You love Jesus and Jesus has given you the dream. Go ahead; tell them to fill the water jugs and pour the wine … “It’s YOUR Time.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Today my prayers are with my friend who is reading this. I believe they are wondering right now, “Is It MY Time?” Please Jesus, let them hear Your voice say, “It’s YOUR Time.” Amen
