Jesus Can Raise Dead Stuff

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

John 11:23

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

O-bservation:

This is the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. Jesus was close friends with Lazarus and his two sisters, Martha and Mary. The sisters had sent word to Jesus that Lazarus was really sick. Jesus delayed His coming to the point that when He arrived Lazarus had been dead and in the tomb for four days. But when Jesus finally arrived He said to Martha, “Your brother will rise again.”

A-pplication:

In any given challenge here on earth, Jesus was always MORE than merely man. Jesus was and is and forever shall be, GOD. In fact, what wasn’t normal to Jesus was living within the confines of human flesh. So whenever a miracle was called for, Jesus always reverted to what was NORMAL for Him … “Being GOD!” Of course God can do anything, not the least of which is “Raising Dead Stuff.” Jesus is never out of control, helpless, hopeless, in a quandary, or confused. If you’re sick, He can heal you. If you’re broke, He can supply your every need. If your family is shattered, He can mend and blend it back together. All of these instances mentioned represent “Dead Stuff.” Body cells have become diseased, rotted, and have died. Financial stability has died. A family that once thrived has been severed and something has died. Remember, however, who it is we’re talking about. We’re not talking about Jesus the mere mortal man. Rather we are talking about Jesus who is God. Just being mortal is one thing, but being God represents a plethora of possibilities. Why? Because, “Jesus Can Raise Dead Stuff.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m so thankful that years ago, when I was dead in my failure and outright rebellion, You raised me back to eternal life. Amen
