S. O. A. P.
Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 126:1
When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.
O-bservation:
The writer remembered an awesome resurgence of God’s favor upon the people of God and says, “We all thought we were dreaming.” But it wasn’t a dream.
A-pplication:
Life is all about “Highs” and “Lows.” I’m sure I’ve written an AM S.O.A.P. about that before. The thing to remember is that God is YOUR source. He’ll bring you through valleys to remind you who is in charge, and to help you keep your “feet on the ground.” No one ever accomplishes that much with his or her head in the clouds anyway. But on this particular morning, I feel like I’m supposed to tell you that God has a mountaintop in store for you that is so miraculous you’re going to think you’re dreaming. I know you’re probably saying, “Things like that don’t happen!” And you would be wrong about that. Scroll back up the page and read the text again. It happened in David’s Day to the people of God and it’s going to happen in your day soon. And when you say, “I think I’m dreaming” … be reminded … “It’s NOT A Dream.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I want Your will for me because You know what’s best for me. However, because I am human … I’d like to be awake and think I’m dreaming a few more times! 🙂 I love those times, but that’s just me. Amen
