His WORD Never Fails

S. O. A. P

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 40:8

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.

O-bservation:

Even in a manicured and “well-to-do” environment, grass still dries up and flowers will not stay in bloom forever but will fall from the twig. It’s the nature of all things living; but God’s Word, which appears to be inanimate, is at all times alive and forever real in any generation in history. “His WORD Never Fails.”

A-pplication:

Call it GRAVITY if you want, but something very real and yet unseen is pulling everything to the earth with a vengeance. No doubt we all came from the dirt and the dirt wants us back, “Big Time.” While I write this short Devo, my eyes want to close and my pen feels heavy. Yes it is GRAVITY, and “Withering” is in process right now. I can remember as a little boy reading John 3:16 and it meant something to me then, and now over 50 years later there’s something even more alive about that verse this AM. And I’m sure that’s the way men like Martin Luther King Jr. and women like Mother Teresa felt when they read it, whenever they read it. Gods WORD is alive. “His WORD Never Fails.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m so thankful that Your WORD, though printed on paper or blasted over my YOU-Version Bible app, somehow is fully alive today so that it rejuvenates me when I read it! “Your WORD Never Fails.” Amen
