Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 21:13
Be exalted in your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise your might.
O-bservation:
David was quick to recall the all-mighty strength and power of his great and almighty God. It was the King’s desire that God would be even more exalted in His strength than David could possibly imagine. David was so focused on God’s “Might” that he wanted to SING and give God PRAISE!
A-pplication:
Have you ever considered that King David never lost a military battle? How is it that this man was so powerful? Now, before I can answer that, let me be quick to say that there was a Giant that slew David. That of course would be his affair with Bathsheba and the subsequent murder of her husband Uriah. David paid more than he ever dreamed he would pay for that failure. So I’m not suggesting that David never failed in his life. But on the battlefield of war, David never lost. Why is that? I believe David had such a vision of his real and living God, and that his God was MORE than JUST mighty. David believed … “He’s Mighty Mighty!” Because of that, David never entered a battle thinking there was anyone or anything that could conquer him or his army. He never gave up because David’s God … “He’s Mighty Mighty!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I’m heading out to my own personal battlefields with the knowledge that there is nothing and there is no one who can defeat me. Only because You are my God and You are … “Mighty Mighty!” Amen
