Even Your Enemies Have Been Raised Up For God’s Glory!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Exodus 9:16

But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

O-bservation:

At the beginning of the seventh out of ten plagues on Egypt, God spoke through His prophet Moses to Pharaoh. God said to Pharaoh that he (Pharaoh) had been raised up by The Lord to show the earth God’s great might and power. And that throughout the ages, God’s great name would be proclaimed in the world.

A-pplication:

It’s amazing to note that “Even Your Enemies Have Been Raised Up For God’s Glory.” Think about it. Every enemy we face is an opportunity for God to show up on our behalf. St. Paul tells us, “He, (speaking of the Lord) who has begun a good work in us, will continue to do that good work until we’re home with Him in heaven” (Ph. 1:6, paraphrase). So God raises up enemies, i.e. Pharaoh, that help us build our faith and utter dependency on Jesus. In time, our enemies are defeated, we win, and Jesus gets all the Glory. God’s glory is revealed by His mighty works of deliverance for His people and through our praise. Our challenge will always be that of complaining about the enemies we are faced with. Because, remember … “Even Our Enemies Have Been Raised Up For God’s Glory.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I want to be the first to Praise Your great name for the enemies in my life! I know they are not here by accident, but that You have raised them up in order to build my faith and for YOU to receive Glory through my victory! Amen
