God Needs Nothing BUT Does Mark The Generous

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 50:12

If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

O-bservation:

God had just spoken through the pen of King David to the people of Israel, saying that He owned the cattle on 1,000 hills, every animal in the forest, and every bird and insect. God said, “It’s all mine. I don’t need a thing from you. But I am making note of the GENEROUS among you, and those who call on me in their day of trouble, I’ll deliver” (paraphrase).

A-pplication:

I’ve lived for a bit of time, and at this point in my life I’ve seen quite a lot. I have to say that what God said in David’s day is true in my day. “God Needs Nothing, BUT Does Mark The GENEROUS.” All of us will pass away and another generation will take our place. That has been true since the beginning of the human race, and will continue till the end of time. But God has remained. He changes not! (Mal. 3:6). The thing that stands out to God in our lifetime is our GENEROSITY. He says, “When you call me in your time of trouble I’ll deliver you, you will honor me.” I’ve watched it happen my whole life. “God Needs Nothing, BUT Does Mark The GENEROUS.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I want to always be generous with You, my God. I have experienced your continual deliverance out of trouble for my family my whole life. Thanks for keeping your word. Amen
