Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
S-cripture:
Revelation 7:12
Saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength to be to our great God for ever and ever. Amen!”
O-bservation:
The word “Amen” pretty much means I agree. The Apostle John, in his vision of heaven, saw Angels and Elders bowing down and worshiping God. They attributed all things to Him and did so with great humility and gratitude and honor. And they began and ended the process in agreement by saying … “Amen!”
A-pplication:
Here is my AM proposal to you. Why wait to get to heaven to praise the Lord? If this is what John saw going on in heaven, why not just make it happen here. The Bible says “Our God inhabits the praises of his people” (Psalm 22:3). When we worship, praise, and adore our great God, we are in effect creating a house for Him to live in. Don’t get me wrong, God Has A Nice Place … but what brings joy to His heart is our praise and laud of Him. If we say we love the Lord, then it’s imperative that we begin doing here what they’re doing on the “Other Side” RIGHT NOW. In other words, let’s agree … “Don’t Wait To Worship Him.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I want to give You praise and glory and wisdom and honor and power and strength. For You are … My God. Amen
