DEVOTION: That’s What It Takes

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Acts 2:42

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Here was the daily regimen of the Early Church. They were devoted to building Church here on earth. Engaging the Apostles teaching, hanging together, sharing meals, and seeking God in prayer became their passion and DEVOTION.

Where the Church of Jesus is strong around the world, you will find people who are passionate for the “Word of God.” Their Pastor will be a man or woman of God who is “DRIVEN” by Scripture. They follow their Pastors’ and Guest Ministers’ lead as to what’s important. This strong group of people will find ways to connect with their Church Fellowship. Small groups and discipleship classes help make that happen. They eat together on a regular basis because that’s what friends do. Probably most important in building Strong CHURCH, is Praying Together. They literally get together to pray. They call off needs and intercede in agreement for those needs to be met, and they keep praying through time until it happens. This does not mean the people who make up the Church are secluded from the “Marketplace,” but rather they are prepared to CHANGE the Marketplace. “DEVOTION: That’s What It Takes.”

Dear Jesus,

I want to be Your CHURCH, changing the “Marketplace” You have called me too. I am in, please Lead Me. Amen

Everywhere that I go, I will Bless the Lord. I want to tell the whole world about His goodness. I don’t want to complain about what I don’t have, but I want to be thankful for all that He gives me.
