More Than Most

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Nehemiah 7:2

I put in charge of Jerusalem my brother Hanani, along with Hananiah the commander of the citadel, because he was a man of integrity and feared God more than most people do.

O-bservation:

It was Nehemiah who had received written orders from Artaxerxes, King of Persia, to return from Babylon to rebuild the “Wall of Jerusalem.” After completing the wall, Nehemiah put his brother in charge of Jerusalem. Nehemiah said it was because his brother Hanani had integrity and feared God … “More Than Most.”

A-pplication:

You’re never going to find a perfect man or woman on this planet. To be honest, there are many people of integrity who do not even “Follow Jesus.” In this case, I’m sure Nehemiah trusted his own flesh and blood brother more than anyone, because after all he knew his way of responding in the toughest of situations, but then he said, “My brother really respects the Lord … ‘More Than Most.’” Now I know, this was a flawed man talking about another flawed man. However, when looking for someone to LEAD always choose a person with integrity who Love’s Jesus … “More Than Most.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

It’s my desire this AM, to follow You … “More Than Most.” Oh I know it’s a judgment call, but I really want to please You all the time. Amen
