Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 4:4

But many who heard the message believed; so the number of men who believed grew to about five thousand.

O-bservation:

At the outset of “The Church” being birthed, there was obviously great opposition. Earlier in this chapter, Peter and John, two of the chief apostles, had been thrown into prison for preaching the Good News of Jesus. However, the Gospel is so POWERFUL that many who heard Peter and John before they were thrown into prison believed, and the number of “Jesus Followers” jumped from 3,000 to 5,000 right away!

A-pplication:

Once the “Church of Jesus Christ” was started … “You Can’t Stop It!” Not just YOU, but THEY and I too. Nobody can stop “The Church.” You can beat it up, knock it down, burn it down, torture it, slander it, and even kill it, but … “You Can’t Stop It!” The organic nature of abundant life is so attractional, that people would rather DIE as “The Church” than walk away from “Abundant Living.” The Apostle Paul asked the question in Rom. 8:35-39, “Who can separate us from the love of God?” In other words, who can kill the Church? His answer was simply put, “NOTHING can separate us from the love of God.” All of those folks out there who are trying to thwart “The Church of Jesus Christ,” all I can say is … “You Can’t Stop It!”

Dear Jesus,

I need you this AM. I run into people every day who are against me just because I follow YOU. Thank You for giving me so much life that THEY can’t stop me! Amen
