Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Ezekiel 13:9

My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.

O-bservation:

You can read from verse one of this chapter and see that the people of God were inundated with false prophets who claimed to be speaking for the Lord. Yet, they were prophesying what they wanted themselves and not what God was saying. As a spokesperson for the Lord, one must be in constant prayer and Bible study in order to speak the full counsel of God to the people.

A-pplication:

Before we go any further, I want to say this with emphasis, “A Godly Leader Is Not Perfect, But Certainly Not Phony!” That’s right! When a man or woman of God makes a mistake or even sins, he or she is quick to acknowledge their failure, repent, and move forward. However, the false prophet of God is a person who promotes themselves as never having sinned or failed in any way. In the process of seeking personal perfection, they miss it by a hundred miles at least and begin justifying their own actions by preaching a foreign “gospel” and calling it a message from the Lord! When you’ve lived as long as I have, you’ve seen a lot of phony promoters of the gospel. Yet, in the end, God always gets the glory because when the Word goes forward, it never returns void! The Word always accomplishes what it was sent out to do. Whether from the lips of an imperfect man or woman of God or the lips of a complete phony. Like I said earlier, “A Godly Leader Is Not Perfect, But Certainly Not Phony!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I am so grateful that you have forgiven me and helped me push forward as one of your servants even in my mistakes and sins. With Your help, I will live the life that matches my words. Amen
