Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Ezekiel 9:8
While they were killing and I was left alone, I fell face down, crying out, “Alas, sovereign Lord! Are you going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?”
O-bservation:
Ezekiel was given a vision by the Lord of a mass killing of people from Israel and Judah who had turned their backs on the Lord. As a man of God with a heart for the people, Ezekiel fell on his face before the Lord and cried out for the people in desperation.
A-pplication:
This wasn’t actually happening at the moment, but in time it would happen. However, what the man of God saw in the Spirit was so heartrending that he cried out on behalf of his people, asking God to relent from His judgment upon them. Everything that happened on that day is noted in history. What I want to ask is, “Will Anyone Cry For The Sins Of Our Nation?” How often has history repeated itself because there was no one to stand in the gap and make up the hedge for the people? I believe that in my own country, God is calling men and women alike to fall on their faces before Him and cry out with deep intercessions for the sins of our nation. We are facing a seemingly unending plague that isn’t going away. Plagues in history only ended when God’s people cried out for help. There is no other hope for this nation or any other nation. A love for money drives men and women. Only true love for God can break the chains and set this nation free. “Will Anyone Cry For The Sins Of Our Nation?”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m crying out right now, Lord. Please, please, please give us another chance. May we all weep between the porch and the altar and repent while there is time. Hear my cry! Please hear my cry! Amen
