S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 52:9
For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.
O-bservation:
This man called King David was like the POTUS at that time in history. No one else was as powerful as David. And yet he speaks with such a humble heart of gratitude towards the ONE he KNEW had made it happen for him. Because of what the Lord had done, David said, “I will ‘ALWAYS’ praise You Lord, in the presence of all Your people.” He also acknowledged that all of his hope was in the Lord.
A-pplication:
I have to say … “I completely agree with the words of King David this AM!” You see, I have very little earthly value in comparison to David. I have No wealth, No worldly fame, and Little influence. However, in this verse that the King gives us, I am exactly like him! To be honest, I wouldn’t even be alive if it weren’t for the Lord. I wouldn’t have a family who loves me if it weren’t for the Lord. Certainly I would not have a secure roof over my head at night but for the Lord. Everything I have, I give God total praise and honor for. He reached to me when I couldn’t reach to Him. He found me when I couldn’t find Him. He loved me when I wasn’t sure how to love. For all of this, I stand any and everywhere to proclaim His goodness to His faithful people, and to the world, that I will forever Praise Your Holy Name! “ALWAYS!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
My eyes are moistened as I bow before You this AM! How could I ever turn from You, or cease to praise You, my Lord! I will “ALWAYS” give You praise! “ALWAYS!”
