Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Joshua 21:45
Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
O-bservation:
This FACT was offered after the Lord, through Joshua, had distributed all the land to the twelve tribes of Israel. Many years before, He had promised to bring them into a land flowing with “Milk and Honey.” Once they had conquered the land, each tribe was, in time, awarded their allotted lands. At the end, it was stated by Joshua that NOT ONE promise God had made to Israel had failed. The Lord kept every PROMISE He made to them.
A-pplication:
Never forget … “Jesus Is Our Promise Keeper!” If we could somehow count, and then remember, the 1000s of promises that people have made to us and then broken, there’s a possibility that our trust in people would be shattered forever. But … Hallelujah … we usually forgive our fellow humans for broken promises, because in between their “Broken Promises” are the “Kept Promises” of Jesus!! Because Jesus is our Promise Keeper, we tend to forget and forgive other’s broken promises to us! The old song says “Because He lives I can face tomorrow.” Why? Because Jesus’ Word is our standard. We live by it, depend on it, promote it, and trust it! When it comes to a human’s failure to keep promises, just forgive him or her and turn you eyes and faith and hope towards … “Jesus Our Promise Keeper.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I give You praise and thanksgiving that You truly are my … “Promise Keeper!” Amen
