Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
O-bservation:
Whatever is a secret to the entire world is only God’s to know. But the scripture says the things revealed (and there are libraries and computer hard drives that house so much information and much of it is for everyone to know) belong to all of us, including our children. The purpose of this information is to follow God’s will more than anything else.
A-pplication:
This AM Devo will encourage you to … “Just Do The Things You Know To Do.” Certainly none of us know what the future holds, and yet I meet people who spend their life worrying and stressing over the future of our nation. Others stress over whether or not they’ll get a pay raise, or the real estate deal will go through. These may be important, but they are impossible to know For Sure! What we do know is what the Lord expects of all of us. Many people refuse to do what they know to do, then worry as to whether or not they’re doing the right thing. King David said, “I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart” (Ps. 40:8). David wasn’t worrying about things he didn’t know to do, it was his desire to do what he already knew to do. Remember, the enemy of your soul is in the business of manufacturing new worries every AM. Determine today that you will refuse those worries in order to … “Just Do The Things You Know To Do.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m not unaware this AM of the enemy’s desire to throw me off course with his manufactured worries of what may or may not happen. I’m with You my Lord, and You’ve already shown me what to do today! Amen
