No GRUDGING Hearts

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Deuteronomy 15:10

Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.

O-bservation:

There will always be less fortunate people who live among us. God gave clear directives to the people of Israel as to how to deal with such disenfranchised people. He simply told them to give generously to them without a grudging heart. In response to their generosity, God promised to bless them in everything they put their hands to.

A-pplication:

There have been times in my life when I was desperately in need and someone stepped up and helped me. In every case, I can tell you that the individuals who were generous with me are still prospering now, many years later. That’s a small personal testimony that relates to the promise God gave the Israelites thousands of years ago. The challenge for the Israelites, and the challenge for you and me today, is to really believe God is our source. If we do believe God is our source, then we will obey His instructions. His mandate to all of us is to take care of those who are less fortunate among us. We do this out of obedience to the Lord, but also with real compassion for those in need. Most of all, we do this with … “No GRUDGING Hearts!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

How could I possibly have a GRUDGING heart after all You have done for me? This AM I’ll go into my field of service looking to help others. Amen
