S-cripture:

Psalm 38:22

Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior.

O-bservation:

This is a common prayer of King David. You can read the entire book of Psalms, and never ever read where David seeks help from anyone but the Lord. Certainly he had help on a regular basis, but there were times in his life where friends and family and armies could not help. It was in those times we see David regularly call upon his Lord and Savior for help.

A-pplication:

There is a fundamental question that every individual living on this planet must answer. “Who Do You Call On For Help?” Once that question is answered, the future can be forecasted in a better way by friends and coaches. I’m not suggesting that you don’t have people in place who will assist you on a regular basis. But when it comes to deep crisis, “Who Do You Call On For Help?” King David had the finest doctors, advisors, and counsellors on earth, but in his darkest hours he never called on them. He only called on Jesus. Jesus is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-everywhere at the same time. Really, it only makes sense to call on the one who created it all, knows how to run it all, and knows what’s happening tomorrow. RX for crisis: “Call On Jesus!”

Dear Jesus,

My prayer this AM is at the top of this page … “Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior.” Amen
