You Need A Personal Revelation

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Luke 9:20
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.”

O-bservation:

On one occasion the disciples had returned from preaching the Good News from village to village with great success. Jesus asked them what people were saying about him. They said, “Some say that you are John the Baptist or Elijah, and others say, you are one of the prophets of old. Jesus then asked, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah!”

A-pplication:

There is no way Peter could have answered so quickly with such emphasis if he hadn’t had a personal revelation from God Almighty! I believe in our western way of doing things we have promoted such an easy salvation that the idea of personal revelation from God is often neglected. When that’s the case the decisions to follow Christ become more of a take it or leave it proposition. When I had a personal revelation of who Jesus is, I never looked back. That was almost fifty-two years ago. It leaves me with this one thought… “You Need A Personal Revelation.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,
Thank You that at the age of just 19 You gave me a personal revelation of who You are. It changed me forever! Amen
