Have You Ever Been There Before?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Psalm 6:6
I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.

Here King David recounted what had been going on in his life. He tells us later in this chapter that enemies were pressing in, and he could see no way out. He spent the night, and perhaps he spent many nights, in anguish weeping in prayer and crying out to God for help. My question this AM is… “Have You Ever Been There Before?”

There are two things I want to say to you this AM. Whenever you find yourself surrounded by adversaries, Pray First. That’s what David was doing in this passage. Yes, he was in anguish, and yes, he seemed hopeless, but in spite of it all he was praying. You won’t come out of the dark without prayer. Second, confess your future before the Lord. At the end of this chapter even though it hadn’t happened, yet David said, “All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish; they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame!” That’s what you and I must do today! We must pray and we must confess our future to the Lord. He will hear our prayer. I promise you!

Dear Jesus,
I am praying and I am confessing my future to You this AM. I will not stop until the miracle happens! Amen
